Our Delta Technology Insulated Fire Steel Shutter (IFSS) is tested up to 4 hours of fire rating integrity & 4 hours fire insulation under BS EN1634. Under normal circumstances, the IFSS can be used as a conventional security shutter. In the case of a fire outbreak, the IFSS is able to isolate and compartmentalize the fire. ​​The IFSS features a single layer steel curtain design. No air gap; No double layers of curtain; No fabric finishing; Single layer even at 4 hours rating.

 

The curtain is constructed of a series of interlocking single continuous roll formed steel slats. Each steel slat is a hollowed profile with infill fire insulation materials. The curtains are rolled up onto a barrel forming a drum via a heavy duty fire shutter motorized operator.​

 

The IFSS is suited to be used outdoors (IP-rated motor required). It is commonly used in commercial buildings, industrial factories, logistic hubs, ports, loading bays, substations, train/bus depots and mechanical carparks etc.

SHUTTER CURTAIN

  • Interlocking custom-designed continuous galvalume mild steel slats of 1mm thick

  • Slats have an overall nominal pitch of 140mm

SIDE GUIDE

  • Mild steel 'U'-shaped channel welded together

  • Overall nominal dimension of 1300mm × 155mm × 1.5mm 

BOTTOM BAR

  • Formed by mild steel 'U'-shaped channel 

  • Overall nominal dimension of 20mm × 90mm × 1.55mm 

  • Fitted on the bottom of the entire curtain

ROLLER BARREL

  • Single heavy-duty steel pipe which forms a single barrel

  • Drive assembly made up of steel circular plates fitted to steel solid shaft round bar

  • Circular plate with tri-legged slot on the other end

SHUTTER HOOD

  • Truss structure formed by 40mm × 40mm × 2.33mm steel square hollow section

  • Shutter hood is 760mm - 1140mm in height and 1020mm and 1440mm in depth

  • Driven sprocket is attached onto end plate with protruding tri-legged holder for barrel

  • Frame is cladded with minimum 0.8mm thickness steel sheet

MOTOR

  • 1 shutter is equipped with 1 motorized operator

  • Built-in limit switch

  • Built-in thermal protector,

  • Built-in brake release system,

  • Built-in manual hand-chain,

  • Cylinder lock 3-way push button (Up / Down / Stop) integrated in stainless steel cover

  • Limit switch ensures shutter stops automatically at desired levels

POWER REQUIREMENT

  • Single-phase 230V × 13amp, or 3-phase 415V × 20amp, 50 Hz each

  • Dependent on shutter size

OPERATING SYSTEM

  • Operated by using push button

  • Push button is located approximately 1.5m above floor level without counterbalance system

  • Can be operated manually by pulling the hand chain or cranking manual lever in the event of power failure

FUSIBLE LINK

  • Mechanical mechanism which activates shutter to close

  • When it melts at 69°C  the shutter descents via gravity and gradually stops upon closing for safety reasons
